Welcome to Turkish Student Association

Merhaba, 

The Turkish Student Association at Texas Tech University has been established to build a common understanding of the contemporary Turkish World and its culture to international societies and to promote social/cultural activities for friendship and interaction between Turkish students, faculty/staff, and Turkish friends.

On Campus Turkish Classes

  Turkish Student Association at Texas Tech University offers free on campus Turkish Classes. 
 
Classes will meet once a week for 2 hours. 

We are offering four different sections, you can choose which ever is convenient for you.

The sections will meet in available classrooms at Texas Tech University. It will be announced before the semester begin.

  • The famous Trojan Wars took place in Western Turkiye, Truva town (Canakkale), around the site where a wooden statue of the Trojan Horse rests today.
  • A cave known today as the Grotto of St.Peter or Church of St.Peter is believed to be where the apostle Peter preached when he visited Antioch (Antakya).

  • The last meal on Noah's Ark, a pudding of sweet and sour taste (Asure), is still served throughout Turkiye.
